It all started when...

R J Pinnock & Sons Ltd was founded by Bob Pinnock, a qualified carpenter and joiner in 1964. The company carried out general building works locally and directly employed local craftsmen. The company had a reputation for works on traditional or listed buildings.

Bob's son Matt joined after leaving school in the early 1980's and took over running the company in 1991 although Bob continued working into his 70's. Matt steered the business to more specialist ecclesiastical work as well as the domestic work, carrying out extensive grant funded works by English Heritage.

Today, most of the work is conservation and extension of listed buildings but also contemporary building work using traditional methods. Matt is joined running the business with his nephew Olly Smalley a foreman/carpenter and most recently Matt's son Charlie has joined the company.
